With the latest release of VMware vSphere 6.0 Update 2 there have been couple of new features and functionalities which has been added both in terms of the Esxi host and the vCenter Server.
What's New VMware Esxi 6.0 Update 2
1) High Ethernet Link Speed : Supports 25G and 50 G ethernet speeds.
2) VMware Host Client (HTML5 Web Client): The VMware Host Client is an HTML5 client that is used to connect to and manage single ESXi hosts.

- Additional monitoring views (Performance charts, Tasks, Events)
- Global Views (Recent tasks, Alarms–view only)
3) VMware Virtual SAN 6.2: The new VMware Virtual SAN 6.2 is bundled with ESXi 6.0 Update 2 (Refer VSAN 6.2 Release Notes)
4) vSphere APIs for I/O Filtering (VAIO) Enhancement: After successful installation of I/O Filter through VIM API, the installed filter is not able to publish the filter capabilities to VPXD. Which has now been fixed in this release.

What New VMware vCenter Server 6.0 Update 2
1) Two-factor authentication for vSphere Web Client: Protect the vSphere Web Client using the following form of authentication:
- RSA SecurID (RSA SecurID is configured using the SSO-Config utility. It also requires RSA Authentication Manager in your environment)
- Smart card (Smart Card Authentication can be configured from the Platform Services Controller UI or using SSO-Config utility.)
2) vSphere Web Client Support : vSphere Web Client Support for Windows 10.
3) vCenter Server database support: vCenter Server now supports the following external databases:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 3
- Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Service Pack 1
